-----”There are three witnesses, the Spirit...Gail;

-----”There are three witnesses, the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree.” (I John 5:8) The Spirit dwells in us. It guides us into understanding. It searches our innermost parts and lays bare for us to see what of them we can bear to see. It applies the Bible to us in ways which heal, feed, and grow us deep within. This Spirit descended on Christ risen from the water. We were born of the Spirit when raised from the watery grave. Those waters state that we chose to lay down our old self for Christ Jesus to be risen with Him into a new life. The blood of a perfect man must have the sin of another to justify that death. The blood of God drawn must have all sin. That it was drawn testifies to Him. That we wash in it testifies to us. The three agree: He is God; we come.
-----Their witness is not in the past alone. Nor is it boxed up in ritual. It is all around us. The Spirit is essence. It is information. It breathed the Bible. The Bible brings for our minds the essence of God and new life in its information. And by the concepts it formulates, the traces of the past illustrate His story. The things around us are seen as His. The stars go forth day and night speaking His glory without a word, quietly showing His intentions. By the Bible’s concepts the purposes of human events serve Him, and His hand is seen in the synchronicities of our lives. Not a thing is beyond the play of His hand. And together, all things testify to Him. The entire tapestry He’s woven of mankind will be displayed on judgment day.

Love you all,
Steve CoreySteve Coreynoreply@blogger.com
