Producing Wealth

Some people dislike President-elect Trump because of his wealth and ego…and the fact that most of his cabinet picks are billionaires and millionaires doesn’t help. There are men who claim to be self-made; however, Moses tells us otherwise, “You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.” But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today” (Deut 8:17:18 NIV).

Gail;

-----Late Spring or early Summer, I listened to a caller discussing his experience with Donald Trump. He was sure he had figured the guy out from a series of minute-and-a-half to two minute conversations with him a few years earlier at church. I thought that was interesting. Not that the caller could figure Trump in several dozen short conversations, but that Trump was going to church.
-----I don’t know how full of bologna that caller may or may not have been. But even if he was being straight about the church conversations, it still isn’t much of a rack on which to hang a hat. Neither is having a lot of wealth. People who don’t like Trump or his appointees just because they are wealthy expose their own bias. Many wealthy people are godly people. Many others may not be so godly, but they’re still good people. I will rather by far stand with Trump until his deeds show him false than stand with the supposedly Democrat “saints” who bemoan Trump’s wealthy people-pool from their own oceans of filthy lucre. At least Trump and his people earned theirs by making and providing goods to consumers instead of cheating consumers out of their wealth by deceitful tax laws, self-serving business regulations, and the underhanded loyalties of well fed cronies. Trump’s business has been real-estate, not corralling successful American people for an indecent milking. And what particularly nauseates me are the white “milk mustaches” on the upper lips of all the oinking Trump detractors.
-----The one thing I can hang some hat on is Trump’s willingness to step forward with what needs to be said, at least until the PC Nazis show up with his character’s train fare to Auschwitz. Trump had enough guts to hold to the truth about Obama’s fraudulent birth certificate longer than most losers did. Think what you may about where Obama was born. It is neither here nor there to the fact that the document he posted on the internet was a fraudulent assemblage of snipped images. Joe Arpaio, another man with enough integrity to face scary deceit with only a fistful of truth, thoroughly investigated the document’s authenticity and found it completely fraudulent. Of course, the same white-mustached oinkers who hate Trump despise Arpaio. That’s the way things work in the left-wing hog pen: character is meaningless, loyalty to “the cause” is supreme. “The cause” is important enough for the entire American culture to back fraud. Unfortunately, even Trump relented on the truth to avoid being whitewashed in “birther” paint.
-----I have more reasons to admire Trump than to despise him. And wealth is a reason for neither. “21 Misfortune pursues sinners, but prosperity rewards the righteous.” (Prov 13:21). “20 I walk in the way of righteousness, in the paths of justice, 21 endowing with wealth those who love me, and filling their treasuries.” (Prov 8:21) “27 A slothful man will not catch his prey, but the diligent man will get precious wealth.” (Prov 12:27) “3 Wealth and riches are in his house; and his righteousness endures for ever.” (Ps 112:3) Wealth is just a thing. How its gotten and what’s done with it are the true measures of a wealthy man.

Love you all,
Steve Corey
