Fodder
Yesterday we had City Council elections and I lost my bid for
re-election. Certainly I’m disappointed, but I trust the Lord has me where He
wants me for this moment in time, so all is good. Actually my husband, friends
and family are looking forward to having me back. I do think one of my biggest
regrets will be the loss of great fodder for my blog.

You had our votes (me and my wife). Guess the other guy had the old boy network locked up? Anyways, best to you for the future.

Wow, you topped off my day! The old boys do indeed have a network…and funding. My personal $240 investment couldn’t compete with the almost $8,000 investment of my competition. However, on a positive note I guess we can say he kept his money local and the City should get a little sales tax revenue. I do appreciate the vote of confidence from both you and you wife, as well as your commenting on the blog. My spirit thanks you.

Gail;
-----Sorry, I can’t vote, living out of the city limits and all. But you would’ve had my vote, and you had my hopes. You won’t run out of fodder, either. Life is full of pickles and jams and messes we get ourselves into, and intimacies and laughter and joys for the having in spite of the kitchen heat. Life is good; it is full; and regardless of what it seems, it is ultimately stirred by the Lord. So anything of it, no matter how trivial, is relevant.
Love you all,
Steve Corey
