His Kingdom Will Never End
“But the angel said to her,
“Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You
will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name
Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most
High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will
never end” (Luke 1:30-33 NIV).

-----This concept of His reign over the house of Jacob forever comforts me. On the day of Pentecost His reign over the house of Jacob began actualizing. His Spirit came into His people where He could effect His sovereignty from within the subjects of His kingdom as head of the church. Thereafter, His kingdom has been growing in those who come to Him from a sincere heart desiring righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit, for these are the kingdom of heaven (Rom 14:17.) “He who thus serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men. Let us then pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding.” (Rom 14:18-19)
