Take Off the Grave Clothes

I’ve had people in my life who, figuratively speaking, I’ve buried and rolled a stone in front of their tomb. No doubt the Lord would have me roll the stone away, but similar to the response of Martha at the tomb of her brother Lazarus my first response is to say, “But, Lord, by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days.” However, Jesus instructed, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go” ((John 11: 39, 44b NIV).
