The Lord’s Purpose
During our Fourth of July
parade the Democratic Party included a gay agenda flag resembling the American
flag in their lineup. On a day when America’s independence unites us under one
flag, the Dems chose to divide us with a rainbow stars and stripes. Armed with
indignation and patriotism I fired off a letter-to-the-editor of the Montrose Mirror. The editor published
the letter and a photo of the offense, and then she posted them on the Mirror Facebook page. In a little over 24 hours the letter generated
over 25,000 views (and still counting), along with hundreds of colorful comments,
likes and shares. My first thought was to credit the far reaching arm of social
media with the explosion of interest. However, I’m reminded, “Many are the
plans in a man’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails” (Pr 19:21
NIV).

-----“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan.” (Prov 29:2) The wicked have plans in their hearts. They think to make utopia. But the only ideas they construct it from are lies, fraud, and deceit. Every direction the country has turned under their power and every stand it has taken have all been crippling to our individual freedoms and dignities. But, oh for sure, they think they build utopia. They think they’ve made freedom while everyone who disagrees must stay silent or be destroyed. Indeed God has a purpose for them and their deceitful rule.

-----Now, there’s a purpose worth waiting for. The WhiteHouse went green, yellow, purple, and blue momentarily. They destroyed our flag in our parade momentarily. Today, the rule is theirs.. Tomorrow, those who love righteousness will be given their rule, and it will never end. Praise the Lord! Not for sharing His rule, but for that rule being just and equitable in righteousness rather than in the deceit of bullyness. For He loves with true love those who love Him. And He will put to end those who balk and scoff at Him and ridicule and bully His beloved.
