Persecution

The city of San Francisco can ignore federal immigration laws and there is no penalty. The state of Colorado can ignore federal laws on marijuana and there is no penalty. However, when Kentucky county clerk and recorder Kim Davis ignores federal laws for not issuing same sex marriage license, she is jailed and placed in solitary confinement. It seems the rule of law is flexible. While I don’t support anyone going against federal law, in Ms. Davis’ eyes she taking a stand to place God’s law over the law of man. Jesus said, “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me” (Matt 5:11 NIV).

Gail;

-----When Darius enacted a law that nobody was to pray to anyone other than him, Daniel went straight to his room, knelt in front of his window facing Jerusalem, and prayed to God. Of course, he made friends with some lions over it, too. God’s Word teaches us wisdom and understanding so that our decisions can be made by a complex of interrelated principles rather than by just picking do’s and don’ts off a crib sheet. Generally, God calls us to obey the government’s laws. But we must not forget, the imperative to take the mark of the beast will be a governmental law.
-----Speaking of which, the European invasion of Muslim “refugees” is very, extraordinarily big news. A pastor in Eastern Europe upbraided the Pope for upbraiding Germany’s attempt to close the refugee spigot. His contention, drawn from on site in Eastern Europe, is that the refugees are not at all refugees. They are jihadists. Others believe only some jihadists are crossing boarders amongst refugees, which is probably more accurate. Yet, if even one percent of the eight hundred thousand refugees now targeted for Eastern Europe were jihadists, that would only be eight thousand. There’s no small damage eight thousand rabid maniacs can do. And their shrewdness, I would be surprised if the mix were less than five percent.
-----Yet reality holds even worse. These are not Christian refugees. Most all are Muslims. Muslims are a little different than Christians. Their obligation is to maintain the Umma (Islamic community loosely functioning as a body,) be a part of the maintained Umma, follow their leaders directives, and develop liaisons with their host communities through which Sharia can eventually be peddled. Two keys are important. First is following their leaders directives. Christians are also directed to “obey” their leaders (Hebrews 13:17.) But God bids all Christians, even the leaders, to be fully convinced in their own minds. (Rom 14:5.) Peter tells the elders to lead by being examples, not by forcefulness (I Pet 5:3) “Love does not insist on its own way.” (I Cor 13:5.) Islam is a bullyhood (think “neighborhood” of similarly intended bullies, think Umma.) If you are not Islamic, your head comes off. If you are not Islamic enough, your head comes off. Of course, I exaggerate - for now. The intensity of the matter varies, not the principle.
-----Second, people are generally pliable in the pressures of bullies. They become almost willingly compliant in the bullyhood. And when the bullies’ efforts actually begin to accumulate political power, many people see personal opportunities in joining the bullies (eg Obama and crony “capitalists“.) The more successful the bullies become, the more people join them for personal gain. If such spineless idiots were as many as ten percent of an Umma, that makes eighty thousand new monkeys for Eastern Europe’s coming barrel of fun. Not to mention those already in England and France with their little “no-go zones” and whatnot, or the meager hordes of them having already crossed the Mediterranean from the great shores of Tripoli to that rock of stability we call Italy. Funny how Islamic eschatology envisions overcoming Rome (Rome is all of the Western World in current Islamic thought, if their mental activity might reach a level we call thought.) Actually, they envision a seven year peace agreement with Rome signed by a Cohen. That’ll get things going.
-----Gee. I don’t think we need Daniel to read this writing on the wall. I think there will soon grow in the world a very, very large market for neck armor as this beast continues rising from the sea of people.

Love you all,
Steve Corey
