All
preachers are not alike and it’s not unusual for congregants to compare and
contrast the difference in sermon content, style and delivery of the pastoral
staff. I recently overheard an older woman say, “Don’t get me wrong, I like
Pastor X as a person, but he talks to us like we’re 10-years-old. But Pastor Y equips
us with answers to our questions. When we’re equipped, we can go out and share
with others.” Paul said, “Anyone who
lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about
righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have
trained themselves to distinguish good from evil” (Heb 5:13-14 NIV).
