Priceless

Freedom is priceless. We are blessed to have freedom in Christ while living in the land of the free.

Gail;
-----Freedom is as priceless as life. Unfortunately, that has left the nuance in our minds that since the full price of freedom can not be paid, then somehow there is no payment necessary. It is fortunate that we do not react the same way to the value of life. For even though life is priceless, we must pay a bit towards that price everyday in earning our physical nourishment and searching out our spiritual nourishment. In return we get a bit of life. Then, the more we earn and the more we search, the more life we experience. For a few others, sadly, the converse is true.
-----And sadly, the converse is operating in regard to our freedom much more than good and proper payment is being made. For freedom costs us the restricting of our beliefs to the knowable truth. Jesus Christ laid out that principle for us two thousand years ago, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:31-32) America has been and is demonstrating that this truth applies to all life, not just religious life. By the truth of man’s individual relationship to God, America was shaped into a land of religious, economic, and political freedom. And as more and more price was paid by the paring off of irrational ideas such as slavery, the limited vote, and the savagery of the Indian, America’s freedom grew, until the blossoming of Darwin’s child in the 1960’s. Then it became determined that "the more the medicine the better the patient" applied to change, but not to truth.
-----What had been the payment for freedom - the careful application of truth - was discarded. The Country’s entertainers discarded the truth for delight, the Country’s news industry twisted the truth with agenda, the Country’s school system replaced the truth with propaganda, the Country’s legal system sidestepped the truth for sentiment, and the Country’s political system dumped the truth for career. That precious payment of the cautious restriction of mental images and thought processes to the discernable truth has been swamped by a flood of arrogant philosophies and deceptions for nearly half a century now.
-----Now we no longer have the freedom to publicly speak Biblical truth against sexual perversion. That is a hate crime. We no longer have the freedom to spank our children. That is child abuse. We no longer have the freedom to pray in our school or at our children’s sports events. That is religious intimidation. We can not outlaw the f-word from the movie cinema, the two backed-beast with all its orgasmic facial expressions from our televisions, or the sale of civilization’s goods and services by promiscuously sexual advertising. All that is censorship. We no longer have the freedom to legislate against debauchery, because you can not legislate morality. Yet legislation protecting debauchery is handed down against us by activist judges. Evidently you can legislate immorality.
-----All could have been avoided if we had continued to exact the price of limitation upon our expressions by the truth. And will we learn that that is one part of the necessary price of our freedom before we fall in the darkness? Will we understand the gravity of the Islamic Republic? Will we realize that many mosques in this Country continue to preach anti-American hatred, yet are not held in compliance to the hate-crime legislation? Will we be boldly, clearly, and continually told that 25% of young Muslims recently polled said they had no problem with the method of suicide bombings? Will the American public be diligently informed that the Wahibi sect of Islam has many schools across America and in Canada teaching Muslim children from the time they are able to speak to hate America, hate Israel, and treasure martyrdom amidst infidel death? Will the American people be taught, not just told, that these same Wahibis have these same schools training this same hatred throughout the world? That the Taliban and Osama bin Laden are the results of Wahibi presence in Afghanistan? That it is teetering on the edge of falling back into what it was? That Pakistan and its nuclear arsenal are teetering on the edge of falling to Wahibi sentiment in its Northern areas? That Iran has supported Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Islamic Jihadists since the 1970’s with money and weapons, and is now supporting the insurgency in Iraq with the same? Will anybody who has the position to step to the mainstream information channels of our Country do so to reveal that the goal of all these Muslim extremists is to unite the Muslim countries into the Islamic Republic? That the Islamic Republic is about world domination by force and Shiria law for all? That Iran is already there? Lebanon and Saudi Arabia are near? Yet the image bearers of our perception have painstakingly spent the last five years convincing us that Iraq is just another Viet Nam!
-----Submission to the truth is continuous payment for freedom that must be maintained. The acceptance of deceit is also a continuous payment, but it has not alarmed us yet, because what we have purchased with it is only prepared for shipment. The date of arrival will be the date of regret. On that day we will rattle our shackles in protest.
