As Ohio Goes, so Goes the Election

All pollsters agree that Ohio is a must win state and whoever wins that state will become the next President of the US. Last week before church started I was talking politics with one of our octogenarian members. With the upcoming election approaching she was disgruntled because people don’t take time to be informed about those running for office. “My son is one of them, and he lives in Ohio!” Pat laughed, “I’d really like to ask him for an early Christmas present…which would be to not vote at all.”

Gail;

-----We reap what we sow. We are maybe not the most peace loving nation on the earth, but we keep good company with the most. So we were willing to accept false premises into our ways of thinking to put on a good peace show. We gave up simple and patently obvious truths, like the fact that there is right and wrong must effect our expectations of one another. We’ve now seen what society becomes without expecting right because, “...there‘s no such thing as wrong.” Are we ready yet? But maybe that one is too complicated. Here is one a little simpler. The truth always finds you out. Things are what they are whether you want to believe them that way or not. You might even be able to convince everyone else to misperceive the way things really are. But things will yet be what they are no matter how many people “know” them differently. Some things matter little: the color of the squid in the deep blue sea. Other things matter a lot. I tell my daughters to never walk, bicycle, or be near a roadway in a shadow between an oncoming car and the low sun. Notice sometime when you are driving into the low sun. You can not see a thing (and I mean nothing at all) in the cast shadows unless your windshield is spotlessly clean. That’s just the way things are. If you play in those shadows, you play near death.
-----On the way to work this morning I heard Colin Powell was once again endorsing Barrack Obama. It does not matter that Obama’s mentor was one of this country’s most prominent communist activists. It does not even matter that Obama himself informed us in Dreams of My Father that his social group throughout his college years were communists. It does not matter that his policies are effecting the Cloward and Piven strategy of overloading the social welfare system to collapse the economy and create a crisis to be fixed by a massive paternalistic government of central control (communism.) It doesn’t matter that this strategy was taught by those he hung with in college, and that he taught it himself while working in ACORN. This doesn’t even begin a short list of the tragedy this man is to the United States of America. He posted a forged birth certificate on the internet, lying that it was a photocopy of his real one. That is proven. He lied about the Benghazi attack. That is proven. We now know that a US surveillance drone circled that embattled embassy for the entire seven hours of the attack and that it’s signals were being watched on Pennsylvania Avenue, for Pete’s sake! There were US forces within two hours traveling time. They were not called to duty. All this has been proven to those who have paid attention. The evidence of his pathological lying is now available for inspection by the public in general. Yet the General endorses the man. And over 90% of the rest of the black voters will vote for him. The truth is that even the most lopsided races between any two candidates never draw 90/10 results.
-----Only the color of the squid’s skin in the deep blue sea truly does not matter. The fact is, the truth will always find us out. And when it does it will pay us to have been holding to it. It isn’t too late. Talk about truth being the process which matters.

Love you all,
