Gaining Your Freedom

I’ve heard presidential candidate Donald Trump ask audiences, “Don’t you want to be rich [too]?” As I pondered his question I wondered if it might, in a strange sort of way, be motivational to those who seem to accept living off a life of entitlements. I’m trying to imagine someone asking, “Don’t you want to live off welfare for the rest of your life?” Many people in America are in generational slavery to government entitlements. While the Apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthians about physical slavery, his instructions are applicable to all types of slavery. “Were you a slave when you were called? Don’t let it trouble you—although if you can gain your freedom, do so” (1 Cor 7:21 NIV).

Gail;

-----I think people are missing a giant perspective about America. It sits right before their eyes, but it is rarely seen because the Bible gets in the way. I don’t mean it gets in the way like people think the Bible says to consider America from other than some particular perspective, or only in some other perspective. If you most want a model for observing human behavior, recall your teen years. They pretty much explain human behavior: faddish. Today, treating the Bible like it is some sort of disease or blight upon human history has become the fad. That this “intellectual disease that is the Bible” has anything to do with America is hot potato. Most people don’t want to hear it.
-----But “…dominion belongs to the LORD, and He rules over the nations.” (Ps 22:28) He moves nations as effectively as we move chess pieces. To where and how He moved America through its history is glorious above simply amazing. As flawed as America was, it prevented the world from being captured into a thousand year Third Reich. Hitler has often been called Satan practicing up on being the Antichrist. His world dominion in the form of the Third Reich would certainly have ended Jewish existence, then Hitler would have actually been the lawless one, unless the Lord would have intervened through some other nation. But the Lord intervened through America. America stepped forth throughout the Twentieth Century and hindered political regimes both denying God and pressing men to not only serve them, but to worship them as well.
-----I heard on the news last night that more Democrats are lining up in support of Obama’s nuclear agreement with Iran. This agreement guarantees nuclear weapons for Iran’s arsenal; it just delays it a bit. Iran has used for many decades a quaint little term, “Road to Jerusalem”, meaning not the first volume of the Knight’s Templar trilogy, but meaning the annihilation of the Jews preceding the Muslim possession of that city. But their mindset is defeat first the Big Satan - America, then deal with the little Satan - Israel.
-----It is undeniable that America was shaped and led by God for very important end time purposes when its history is humbly admitted. It is undeniable that America has been that political part of what has been restraining, which restraint need be removed before the lawless one is revealed (II Thes 2:7) How much more effectively can a nation’s power be destroyed than by turning its producers into eaters - parasites to eat it from the inside out. Seeing America reach out and faddishly clutch every evil imaginable makes me think II Thes 2:7. And seeing this agreement with Iran being shaped up this year calls my attention to the fourth set of blood moons marking the beginning of the end of America’s restraint, the first set of which marked America’s beginning as Israel‘s most supportive ally, and as the political prevention of the lawless one’s grab for power.

Love you all,
