The One in Authority

Hillary Clinton claims that if she becomes President she will have broken the glass ceiling proving to young girls that anyone, even a woman, can become President. And then recently 50 heavy-weight Republicans signed a declaration against Donald Trump sending a message to boys and girls, “No, no…we don’t want you to think that just anyone can become President of the US. We deem the Donald Trumps of the world unqualified and unfit.” American believers often fall into the trap of thinking it is we who determine who has authority over us. Paul said, “Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God” (Ro 13:1 NIV).

-----Paul was not blessing us when he commanded us to submit to the governing authorities. At the time he wrote this, Nero was emperor. Rome had been several decades into demanding emperor worship. What a joy to submit to that kind of government! Where man’s laws clash with God’s laws, the follower of God is going to get punishment from the one or the other, because no two diametrically opposing laws can both be kept at the same time. So it’s just smart to disobey the government in those situations; they carry a smaller stick than does God. But those are not all situations.
-----One of secularism’s messages is that everything is meaningless. Everything is merely a mass of interacting material. It came from the Big Bang, to which it will return, unless it flies away into the Big Rip. Who knows? Who cares? Queue sera, sera.
-----The Bible teaches that everything has a purpose. Even the wicked are made for the fire. Something can not have a purpose without having meaning. Merriam-Webster says purpose is “something set up as an object or end to be attained…an action in course of execution.” It says meaning is “the thing one intends to convey…something meant or intended…” Everything has a purpose. Everything has a meaning. God is the Designer. He is the proposer. He is the meaner. Therefore, every government, no matter how wicked, has a purpose and meaning. For example, the proposals of an Israeli nation made to the Zionists in the early 20th century surfed the waves of the world’s obstruction and procrastination until the world saw the horrors of Hitler’s Final Solution. Three years later was Israel. One purpose of Hitler’s Germany, a very meaningful purpose, was to end the world’s obstruction and procrastination to an Israeli nation.
-----America was established with a purpose. President Washington and the 1st Continental Congress committed America to the service of God in the little meadow in front of St. Paul’s Parish, there where the Twin Towers fell. America toppled Nazi Germany, not without the help of other nations, but all the same, a collapse that would not have happened without the US. Then America supplied much human support God used to secure Israel amongst the nations again. That was purpose. That was meaning.
-----What did the four blood moons of 2014-2015 mean? II Thes 2:6-7, maybe, “he who restrains the man of lawlessness” being removed from the way? Hitler’s government was truly of an antichrist spirit, a political spirit which exalts man over God. We have had one of that spirit in the White House for seven years now. We will put another one, worse yet, into the Oval Office shortly. She will tip the Supreme Court into that spirit, and that will end the US's business with God's Spirit. Together these two praise and proclaim the peace of Islam. “Peace, peace” they say? Does that sound like a false prophet? Do we need any further evidence to know Islam as the antichrist empire? The blood moons of 1493-1494, in part, marked the significant meanings of the land discovered the year before. The 2014-2015 blood moons, in part, marked that land rolling over against God. And Israel will proceed alone, like Revelation portrays it.
-----So, as we shall see, that roll over has very significant purpose, too. As rotten as America is becoming, God’s greatness is using it. Do we want to be a part of God’s greatness? Then we need to obey the government God made to use.
-----Hail Hitlary! Her inglorious ways will lay the next cobble in the highway leading to His Glorious Appearing! And that, in my book, is a useful purpose and a meaningful being unto a fiery end for the good ole US of A.

Love you all,
