When America’s
Got Talent contestants are interviewed they’re often asked what winning the
contest and a million dollars would mean to them. The responses are all similar,
“This is my big break. This will change my life. This is my last chance. It
means everything. This is what I have lived for.” Believers are not immune from
dreams of earthly success; however, we know Who will change our life and Who we
live for. Paul said, “Those who live according to the sinful nature have their
minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with
the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires” (Ro 8:5 NIV).
