The Work of Our Hands

I can stand on my back deck and watch our new house being built. Last week I discovered the roofer is an old friend, Kevin, who is a fellow believer. Kevin is a really good roofer; however, he is now stooped and walks with a limp because over the years he has fallen off ladders and roofs. Now I’m not only praying for Kevin’s safety, but also for the aches and pains one develops after years of physical labor.  The psalmist wrote, “May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands” (Psalm 90-17 NIV).
