Rejection Slip

The publishing industry has changed dramatically in the last few years and it is very difficult to get your work published. In March I submitted a book proposal to an agent and I just got a letter back that said, “Thank you for sending us your proposal for review. Unfortunately, it has been decided that yours is not what we are looking for at this time.” From the secular perspective I absolutely understand the marketing decision. However, from a Christian perspective it gives me pause. I can’t help but ponder the Gospel writers submitting their book proposals and getting a rejection slip that said, “Unfortunately, it has been decided that yours is not what we are looking for at this time.”
