Acquaintances
of criminals can sometimes knowingly, or unknowingly, have a hand in criminal activity.
We’re hearing more and more about people being charged as co-conspirators in
such offenses as sex trafficking, illegal gun purchase and fraud. I’m sure these
people never thought of themselves as co-conspirators, or ever dreamed the
crimes committed by their friends would come back to bite them. People of faith
can also get caught up and trapped if we associate with the wrong people. Paul
warns, “Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character” (1 Cor 15:33 NIV).
