Short Notice
While many people are already tiring from all the political coverage, I have to say I really like it. I’m always hoping for a David and Goliath story to immerge. I admit I love it when pollsters and reporters fail in their attempt to sway the voter or fail to accurately take America’s pulse. Right now I’m especially intrigued by Governor Huckabee’s supporters. The media just doesn’t know what to think of this seemingly unorganized group of people. The question that’s being asked is, ‘Can these loosely organized evangelicals come together on short notice’. Oh please…we Christians can throw together an all church pot-luck dinner in one hour and with only a few phone calls.

-----The last two Presidential elections have brought us dangerously close to the precipice, and the last midterm election sent a good deal of our tenuous footing plummeting over the edge. In politics, perception is everything. That is why, after years of deliberately timed, puffed up accusations against Republican figures combined with coyly repressed news of Democrat scandals, the left leaning media had the public on the brink of throwing the Republicans out of control. I remember the uncertainty in the air, the precarious foothold the Republicans still had, and the imbalance that a shoving, slandering media continued to cause, until one popular Republican candidate for the Senate called an Indian (from India type Indian) a “makaka.” The drive-by media locked him in their teeth by the comment and did not quit shaking until his candidacy was dead. With that last successful accusation made about George Allen‘s makaka, all of the harping about no WMD’s, Abu-Ghraib Abu-Ghraib Abu-Ghraib Abu-Graib Abu-Graib Abu-Ghraib Abu-Ghraib, Iraq quagmire, Scooter Libby, half a dozen fired US attorneys, and on, and on, finally paid off, and the Republican majority in Congress went screaming over the edge.
-----This might have been swell, too, if all of the accusations which created the public perception were real. But they were not. A few were outright lies, but most were situations having one or two minor details key to the truth, details requiring a bit more technical discussion than Joe beer-drinking public was willing to tolerate. For example, as horrible as the leak of Valerie Plaim’s name sounded, no law was broken. She was not a CIA employee covered by the law used to drag Scooter Libby before a grand jury. The prosecutor had no right to question him there, or anyone else. And he had already become privy to the knowledge of who really did discuss Valerie Plaim with a reporter, legally. Yet Scooter was made the target because Scooter meant potential embarrassment to the Republicans. Then there is the case of no WMD’s. One blonde haired, pasty white, blue eyed, non-Arabic speaking, Democrat, political hack was sent to the Middle East to investigate whether or not Saddam really had been trying to buy weapons grade Uranium. What intelligence could he have gathered? I am sure he blended right in there. And he comes home with his precious bit of deceit - Saddam never did try to acquire weapons grade Uranium. The media sold his lie to the American public, completing the misperception that there never were WMD’s. Meanwhile, General George Sada, second in command of Saddam Hussein’s Air Force before the Gulf War, and trusted advisor to Saddam since then, wrote in his book the details about how the WMD’s were transported out of Iraq: when it happened, how many Boeing 727’s were modified for the task, how many flights in total it took, and where the WMD’s were taken. Of course, this one Iraqi’s testimony from the very scene of the activity was ignored by our noble, well informed, investigative media, which was drooling all over itself with the mouthful of lying idiocy brought home by that one, pasty white, husband of Valerie Plaim. That is why her name was discussed with the press. Back to the litany of examples, anyone who has an ounce of political sense knows that US attorneys serve at the pleasure of the President. They can be hired and fired at his very whim, without reason. But several US Attorneys were refusing to follow-up charges brought to them concerning election fraud. Big mystery it was too, considering they were Clinton appointees retained by Bush! Those charges of election fraud were far more serious than Valerie‘s name game, yet never got a peep from the Democrat media. Toss in a couple other issues, like a Republican Senator playing footsy in a bathroom, and Shazzam, half of the American public has been thrown completely off the path of sane and valid political questions! They are now ready to throw out the Republicans, no more corrupt than the rest of us, to replace them with the Democrats who perverted the truth for their own gain. God help us all!
-----Now enter Gov. Huckabee, he whom the media can and will successfully portray as having pardoned a rapist who then raped, and murdered again. Do you remember how to say, “Dukakis?” I assure you, the media does! It is as easy as saying, “Makaka.” And it will be as effective, too! No one knows for sure, but I am convinced that a Huckabee ticket is an Obama administration. Of course there is always Romney, but you know well by now that America will never elect a Mormon for President, the left leaning media keeps reminding us of that. Now, how many times have you heard them quote any part of his great speech regarding his Mormonism, the founders of this country, their beliefs, and respect for public office. The media sure let everyone know JFK’s speech regarding his Catholicism. But of course! JFK was a Democrat! And since Ron Paul lives out on a limb with his own little world of ideas, and Thompson and Hunter will be kept nobodies by the media, Guliani or McCain, a couple good Democrat-type Republicans on the ballot will do nicely for the lefty media. That way, if all the Obama-boot licking, kiddy votes can’t be hyped into a new fad and rite-of-passage more taken-up than illicit sex, then either of liberal Gulliani or McCain, will do.
-----There is only a minority of voters left who cast their ballots on broader issues of substance. Although that minority is larger than one third, it is split between dedicated left-wingers, who want to raze what America has been and rebuild it in all the glory of what they think it should be, and dedicated right-wingers, who would be happy to at least halt the razing of America already accomplished. This house is about to perish, because in it is tolerated every vice the Creator of Reality warns His creatures against. It is a house divided against itself, bent on self-deceit, drunk with self-indulgence, and blind with arrogant self-righteousness. While admitting of her God, and individually acknowledging the existence of her God, she does not publicly hold up her God, practice His ways, stand for His values, nor present the truth of His existence. Rather, she spills lies like a drunk at the bar.
-----It is sad what is happening, but it is inevitable. God did not make His creatures to govern themselves. Yet, for a while longer, they must. If we only had a media that would realistically represent all of the prominent thought of the American people, all of their questions, all of their answers, rather than just those of the left, if our entertainment industry would entertain with godly themes only as much as they do with the ungodly, if the colleges and school systems would only teach the facts and evidences of everything that is real, our society would not be insane from decades of deceit. But alas! Deceit has become the norm. We are now one year away from possibly handing the steering wheel of this great nation over to political drunkards. If the car comes home four years later in one piece, I will be amazed.
