Evacuations
The media, local officials and rescue personnel are showing a little aggravation
toward people who have had to be rescued because they failed to evacuate when
they were told. I can so relate to their frustration. Believers are always
sending out spiritual warnings that fall on deaf ears. Don’t get me wrong, I’m
on board with Fanny Crosby’s cherished hymn that goes, “Rescue the perishing, care for the dying; Jesus is merciful, Jesus
will save.” However I can’t help but measure the difference between
rescuing someone who is clueless and someone who has been warned.

Gail;
-----I have little sympathy for these aggravations of first responders, local officials, and especially the media. Surely I have some (except for the media,) but it is little. Where were they when civilization was swamped by the barbaric tsunami of the 1960’s? Oh yes, the media was driving the tsunami; I remember now. All mutual respect for anything beyond the mere physical being of another person was washed out to sea never again to return. From the deconstruction of traditional values to the outright censorship of thought and speech by political correctness, we are now fifty years into the effects of disrespect and dishonor for the inner substance and being of other people. It is no wonder, then, that there is disrespect and dishonor for the value of first responders by those who refuse to flee danger. If the first responders, local officials, and especially the media want more deference, then let them be leaders in dishonoring the deconstructionism and political correctness which have destroyed mutual respect and honor so we can all rediscover how to value another person for what he is rather than for how he can be used. In my opinion, we all have to deal with a social situation we could have done more to prevent.
Love you all,
Steve Corey
