The Christian Ear is a forum for discussing and listening to the voice of today's church. The Lord spoke to churches,“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” Rev 2&3

Paved With Gold
My husband and I, along with a County
Commissioner and his wife, play cards every few weeks with Marvin and his wife,
Helen. As long as I’ve known him, Marvin has complained about the disrepair of
the county road that goes past his house. Not a card playing night goes by
without him gently bending the Commissioner’s ear about the lack of attention
to his pot-holed county road. This last Friday we played cards at Marvin’s house
and he jokingly asked the Commissioner how he liked driving on the county road
to get to the house. Marvin passed away on Monday. I’m thinking the
Commissioner is now off the hook and Marvin is content because there are no
potholes in heaven. John describes the New Jerusalem, “The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl.
The great street of the city was of pure gold, like transparent glass.”

Gail;
-----I would love to meet the oysters which made those pearls. Liars should dread to meet them.
-----God gives authority to the government. We trumpet around the necessity, therefore, to submit to Washington, Colorado, and Montrose County. I laugh. I’m finished crying. And I am still in the process of converting my complaining into constructive criticism.
-----But where should that criticism begin? Follow what needs reconstructed, and the concept out of order seems to be at the level of, maybe, preschool. God authorizes no evil, no irresponsibility, no self-service. It is man who brings this refuse to the place of authority. I laugh because the ruler God put in the place of America’s authority was you and me and our friends and neighbors across the country in the form of a Constitution. And it is we who shirked our responsibility to know truly, to empower good, and to seek benefit without selfishness. We now think of our elected officials as leaders the same as mom and dad might treat their child as a parent. Representatives represent. I laugh. We deserve potholes. We deserve the coercion of three, and sometimes four layers of government forcing everyone to think alike, buy alike, be alike, for to hell with fixing potholes.
-----yet, we now stand at America’s greatest opportunity. Ronald Reagan laid the Constitution into our sight and called upon the people to be great and lead us into prosperity. He was a man of simplicity: simply find the truth and do what’s right with courage. His hubris for taking the word of known fools and frauds as that of fellow Americans was the fly in his ointment. But far better is it to be conflicted by the fly than it is to be the fly.
-----George H. W. Bush was the fly. This consummate NorthEastern Republican covered his globalism with a feigned respect for the rule of Constitutional law. Bill Clinton threw the WhiteHouse door open to overt fraud and deceit. And George W. Bush set that hook by giving us the impression leaders could care about the people. And finally, Barrack Obama has reeled us suckers into the cherry red frying pan of treacherous treason, openly acting against American interests at every challenge. None since Reagan has remembered that they are representatives first, and executives second, although I think W, bless his heart, had a inkling or two of it.
-----So, what is this opportunity we have in the frying pan? The hook, line, and sinker which caught us is fraud. Fraud always has an Achilles heal. You’ve heard me say before, “Truth has awareness.” You’ve heard the Lord say, “The truth shall set you free.” (Yes, everybody says it, but be aware of who’s saying it to know what to think of it.) Facts are embedded in reality. Though implications are not always the clearest, that an acorn is on the ground correctly implies there has been an oak tree. This is awareness. The acorn may not be big, but it can be stood upon.
-----That the “th” flew above the line in CBS’ attempt to implicate W’s slipping the draft brought down Dan Rather, which knocked down Tom Brokaw. The “th” was held high until liars toppled. Typewriter fonts do not change within the same birth certificate. Nor did American citizens legally travel to Pakistan in the seventies. We have acorns to stand upon. And the boughs of this tree, ripe for toppling, are laden to its crown with all the treacherous effects of not only the current liar in chief, but of the same subservient, fallacious kind of media that enabled the treacheries of Adolph Hitler. You see, it’s not about fighting leaders, its about fighting deceit.
-----If we stand upon even one acorn with boisterous clamor, we can force our representatives to fill this pothole, because the truth is, we are the government which God authorized for beneficial, selfless responsibility.
Love you all,
Steve Corey
