Open Mic

The Republican Party hosted an “Open Mic” session to give the community an opportunity to speak about issues, activities and concerns. Even though I attended as a reporter, the audience didn’t recognize me as such and they were unabashed with their comments. I suspect some people were uncomfortable when they read their own words quoted in the published article. Jesus said, “There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs” (Luke 12:2-3 NIV).

Gail;

-----I think the audience demonstrated why the world is going pitch black into deceit. They addressed what they felt instead of the issues. Truth sets us free because truth is indelible, eternal, and free itself. In truth we attend relevant matters and build up everyone having a heart tuned towards right and good for neighbors and selves, too, making peace and joy the meaning of life.
-----Yet the hordes of this world pay lip service to what is good and right and practice what is wrong. They make matters of their desires to be public issues, centering law upon self rather than truth. Indiana’s freedom of religion act offers a timely illustration. Our country bathes itself in the lie that homosexuality is good and relevant and important to society because people should not be discriminated against. Indiana’s new law is in hot water for allowing businesses to refuse providing what they do not believe in - to discriminate. Try going into a restaurant bareback, or shopping at a supermarket barefoot. And what about nudists? They don’t even get to enter public places without making themselves to be like us with clothes. They must live in their own closets to be who they are, right there where the gays were. So, is anti-discrimination really for everyone? Do we discriminate by restricting child predators from child populated places? Do we discriminate by locking up criminals only? Should we also lock up some saints? Or should we free criminals since they’re being discriminated against? Oh my! Am I on the verge of saying something naughty about homosexuals?
-----I am. I don’t want to discriminate by not talking the truth about gays, too. WHO lied twenty years ago in observing HIV was spread 92% by homosexuals? The US Government continues to lie in observing gays are yet the most effected by HIV? Of course not! But gays silence these truths. They want you lied to. They insist the Bible lies to you. They put courts to your throats like swords, denying your free objection, denying your free allegiances, yet insisting on theirs. How many other cake bakers are in Lakewood? Enough for Mr. And Mr. Mullins-Craig to buy hordes of gay cakes! But no, they discriminated towards a particular bakery for destruction rather than building up a neighbor by going elsewhere in honor of his beliefs. Shouldn’t that be discriminated against?
-----How free are we feeling in this world today? How long will it take gays to thrust swords at my throat because I think gays should shop where the services they want are believed instead of forcing others to provide what they don‘t believe? Should I go into a candy store and demand marijuana because I might think it candy? Then why go to a Christian baker demanding two men on a wedding cake, or to a Jewish market demanding pork? Lakewood’s full of bakeries, and the greater Denver area’s filled with even more. There are enough for everyone to live their consciences. Truth sets us free, not lies. So discriminate between those two, and that will sort out the rest of the story.

Love you all,
Steve Corey
