Shut Down

My Colorado Democratic Senator voted to shut down the government. I’m discouraged that he would favor illegal immigrants over the American people and in my email to him I asked, “To whom do you pledge allegiance and whom do you serve?” Likewise, we believers must understand the oath and commitment we made when we became Christians. We must remember to Whom we pledged our allegiance and Whom we serve. Jesus said, “No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money” (Matt 6:24 NIV).

Gail;

-----I will keep saying it until someone convinces me I am wrong: John 3:16 is God’s responsive work to a doomed world; Malachi 3:16 is the born again child’s responsive work to being alive in Christ Jesus. Just a little thinking about the matter supports that proposition. A person’s mind is made of what he thinks about. A person thinks about what he encounters. The most mind-stirring encounters are encounters with communication. Therefore, the more we talk about the Lord, His Word, righteousness, and the effects they bear upon individual character, social behavior, public norms, and politics, then the healthier the community-mind will be. “Then those who feared the LORD spoke with one another; the LORD heeded and heard them, and a book of remembrance was written before him of those who feared the LORD and thought on his name.” (Mal 3:16.)
-----The ripples from such discussion amongst ourselves may not seem significant. But fiber re-enforces whatever it mixes into. I learned this useful lesson last summer while repairing Char’s greenhouse. Dobbing fiberglass resin into patches and general coating with a handful of fiberglass insulation spread the tiny, thinner-than-hair strands of fiberglass throughout the resin coating, and that made it very re-enforced. It isn’t that each fiber is particularly strong. They aren’t. And it isn’t that the resin became saturated with the fibers. It didn’t. It was that some fiber became present everywhere. And that made my fiberglass coating tough, tough, tough!
-----This is where I thank you for spreading fiber into our Christian community by your blog for these last twelve years. Think of what America would have declined into if there had been no backpressure to subversive lying. Donald Trump’s entire political presence is borne upon the fiber of backpressure against deceit and fraudulent affairs. People like you all over this nation will not keep quite about the truth concerning whatever piece of deceit the spiritual-left floats down the channel next. Yes, there is always a giant pool of piranha emboldened by those left-wing lies, constantly hungering for the blood of the righteous. A few will get caught up in fiber like what you spread. They will be netted into the Lord with us. The rest will be caught by the giant net the Lord will make of righteousness’ fiber at His return. They will be poured upon the heap of trash fish for the giant piranha-roast on Judgment Day evening, 5:30 sharp. Be there!
------Maybe there will be a day when honest Americans are overrun by illegal-minded burglars breaking into the country with crow-bars passed out by the political left. Face it, the spiritual-left has owned this country’s communication systems longer, and they know better how to use them. But in the end, the truth will remain; it is older, and its interconnections are actually real. Therefore, if I must be momentarily taken down by deceit’s chaotic milieu, I will go down spreading the Lord’s fiber.
------Looks like you’re doing the same. Good job! Keep it up.

Love you all,
Steve Corey
