Because of drought
Colorado is having multiple wildfires. During a TV interview a fire department spokesperson
told the reporter, “We can’t get to the fire, so we’re waiting for the fire to
come to us.” As a Christian my personality is not to wait, but to try to deflect
and extinguish fires before they get to me. However, I can see the wisdom in
waiting for the fire to reach me. Paul said, “In addition to all this, take up
the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of
the evil one” (Eph 6:16 NIV).
