The media is
once again crying doom and gloom about a possible trade war with China. One TV
millennial commentator said, “People are use to buying cheap goods from China
and they won’t put up with higher prices.” These young folks do not know
history, nor do they understand the resiliency and determination of people when
their back is against the wall. America survived WW I, WW II and the
Depression. The prospects of the USA surviving a trade war, with China or on a
global scale, are not that daunting.
