In Iranian media
the government of Iran describes their missile attack on military bases in Iraq
as, “A slap in the face delivered to America”. At this point in time, because
no Americans were killed, President Trump has not retaliated to the attack. It’s
not lost on me that, figuratively speaking, America may just be turning the
other cheek. Jesus said, “You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and
tooth for tooth.’ But I tell you, Do not resist an evil
person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also” (Matt
5:38-39 NIV).
