Peace Prize
If the Nobel Peace Prize were renamed the Nobel Political Prize it would be more understandable that Al Gore was awarded a portion of the prize. I’m sorry, but from a believers perspective I’m just not overly impressed. According to the media Mr. Gore believes global warming will not get the attention it deserves until people realize that it’s a moral and spiritual issue. Excuse me…I’m all for being good stewards of the earth, but exactly what does that have to do with morals and spirituality? I’m thinking environmentalists must be desperate if they are trying to manufacture market shares in morals and spirituality.

Gail,
Makes one wonder what the 'global warming crowd' is going to say when, in a few years, we are going into another 'global cooling' cycle like we did in the 1970's.
I wonder if Al Gore will have to give back his Nobel Peace Prize like the Olympic runner who won her medals due to using strength enhancing drugs. Only seems fair to me!
The only thing I know is that the earth is going to last just as long as God wants it to, period!
Gail and Callie;
Hi Callie. Great to read your comment again.
I didn’t want to believe that Al Gore won an Award for his propaganda piece. I didn’t want to believe he won the Nobel Peace Prize. In fact I wanted to believe that Rush Limbaugh would. But I had to believe the fawning over Gore and the rejection of Limbaugh. We live in a world constructed of fraud and deceit. Why would it use any measure to hand out its accolades other than the fraud and deceit of which it is constructed?
But thank God truth is the carbon-steel pole embedded deep into the solid rock to which we who desire it can tether up to with chains also of carbon-steel. God has given whosoever will this attachment so that no one will have to wander out of bounds, groping in the dark. And all of those being tethered to truth are tethered together, and by that have peace.
Now this is how I can rest comfortably with Al Gore holding an Academy Award in one hand and the Nobel Peace Prize in the other. That Award was given to him in the category of best documentary. Documentaries are expected to be true. A British high court has recently ruled on a lawsuit brought before it by parents upset at British schools requiring their children to watch Al Gore’s drivel. The court ruled that on the grounds of twelve significant falsehoods it found in The Inconvenient Truth, and many minor ones, any British school showing the film would also be required to clearly point out those falsehoods. This ruling casts a revealing light upon the Academy Awards, because they have made no mention of taking back Gore’s Award, or even of acknowledging the falsehoods. Therefore, they have silently confirmed their position to be that of deceit. And the Nobel Peace Prize has been conveniently awarded to the purveyor of lies, which cause wars, rather than to America’s truth detector who requires of himself a commitment to what makes for peace - the truth. It also now stands in the light doubly, the late Yasser Arafat having been given the same accolades for temporarily washing some of the Jewish blood off his disgusting hands.
We therefore have these two “great” awards held in the hands of a deceitful Al Gore and clearly portraying the substance of this present age. It is now in the open for anyone who gathers enough news and information to plainly see and to simply point out.
