Picture Book

I’m reading a new book on blogging and it stresses the importance of using photos to accompany a post. Surprisingly, the picture doesn’t even have to relate to what is written, any generic photo will catch a reader’s eye and draw them in. Thankfully the writers of Scripture chose painting word pictures to produce the Word of God, rather than giving us a “Picture Book of God”. Reading Revelation I can’t even imagine the debate that would be raging if there were accompanying pictures. “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.” (Ps 119:105 NIV)

Gail;

-----People’s heads are being hacked for everything they’re worth. Attachment to imagery arises at the very low levels of psychology. Whenever we cross new concepts, images are summoned. If none are provided, the mind must create them itself. God gave us imaginations to play into that attachment. But imagination requires work. And especially when you’re reading for entertainment, work trumps fun. So now you’ve found that we’re being told any picture will do, and I am sure this comes from psychological studies. Then, your next thought turns to Revelation.
-----Affect Control Theory is a branch of social psychology. Its interest flows towards the ideas people have about things, the efforts they will make to maintain those ideas, and the situations which sharply deny or counter their ideas about things. There is a breed of mankind who just dearly loves interfering with the way other people think and the things they do. This breed loves A.C.T., as they now call it (it developed in the mid-seventies, if I recall correctly.) Their “psychological equations” are now formulated into a computer program called INTERACT. They’ve built with it “dictionaries” of ideas about things people hold in most every culture around the world. They’ve found that their equations are very predictive of how people will respond when particular ideas about certain things are challenged with a given situation. It generates very valuable information, indeed, especially for politics. (I’m scratching my head much less at the Democrat’s Marxist takeover of the world’s once freest people.)
-----People’s heads are being controlled for everything they are worth. It never ceases to amaze me how effectively the controlling breed of mankind is able to weasel its way into subtle and unsuspected techniques for “knowing” you by knowing psychology, and then using you by using psychology. Now, don’t take it that I’m saying your blog-guru is a fingertip of the anti-Christ. The book’s just talking about pictures! I used it only as a topical springboard to dive into the sea of people whose salivating, lizard brain interconnections will give the anti-Christ a real platform for a real arising.

Love you all,
