Last week
Bill’s medical tests revealed he has a fractured pelvis. While it is extremely
painful, he can sit on pillows in a recliner and get some relief. Bill can’t
sit on a regular chair, or walk without a cane, but last week from the comfort
of his recliner his mind told him he could go to church on Sunday, make a run
to Home Depot for some handicapped bars, and have coffee with the guys on Wednesday.
Many of us can relate to the Jesus’ observation about His disciples, “…The
spirit is willing, but the body is weak” (Matt 26:41b NIV).

-----Let’s be glad our flesh is weak. Jesus came with strong flesh and ended up bearing every sin of all mankind. “Every one to whom much is given, of him will much be required.” (Luke 12:48b)
