The new State Representative
for the western slope of Colorado is an expert in water, agriculture and
natural resources. However, rather than being appointed to the House
Agriculture, Livestock & Natural Resources Committee, the minority leader appointed
him to two committees where he has no expertise — Public Health Care &
Human Services and the Finance Committee. The knee jerk reaction is one of
indignation at the politically motivated move. However, from a spiritual
perspective, we know God often puts us in positions not of our choosing. I’m
reminded of Esther being taken to the palace of King Xerxes and Mordecai’s
words, “And who knows but that you have
come to royal position for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14b
NIV).

Gail;
-----It is possible that this new representative could develop good knowledge and skills in Public Health Care & Human Services. Maybe we should consider the possibility that when the public elected him they did so because he would really be good at learning health and human services. But maybe we ought to consider they elected him because he was an expert in water and natural resources. In fact, around here, water and natural resources are major concerns. The public probably envisioned him on some agriculture and natural resources board when they voted for him, if the public is sophisticated enough anymore to know about such things.
-----Lo! The signs of ignorance surround us! And nothing is more surrounding than government, which ours was not constituted to provide health and human services in the first place! Our government was constituted for the limited purpose of protecting the land from murderer and intruder. Look at our health and human services today. They’re now given the objective of sheltering and supplying the intruder -the refugees as well as the border flood, both laced with jihadist murderers. No wonder they put an expert in water on that board. Maybe he can help the intruder swim the river without getting his explosives wet. The signs of ignorance surround us.
Love you all,
Steve Corey
