A local
newspaper took a public bow for a breaking news story which they did not break.
They not only accepted an award they did not deserve, but when it was brought
to their attention that another media outlet had the scoop, they chose not to set
the record straight. So much for journalistic ethics. Proverbs says, “The
wicked man earns deceptive wages, but he who sows righteousness reaps a sure
reward" (Proverbs 11:18 NIV).
