There are
times when I’m in a furious storm and the waves of responsibilities, deadlines,
and commitments are sweeping over me. Similar to the disciple’s storm
experience it feels like the Lord is sleeping and I want to wake him and say, “Lord,
save me! I’m going to drown!” Just as Jesus told the disciples, he also tells
me, “You of little faith, why are
you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was
completely calm. The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of
man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him” (Matt 8:26-27)!
