The enemies
of President Trump are rejoicing because in their words, “Trump caved and
opened up the government without getting any money for boarder security.” The
picture they paint is that Trump failed, lost and was defeated. Parents teach children
that it is not always about winning or losing, but rather that they tried their
best. From my perspective Trump is a winner, whether or not he succeeded,
simply because he did his best to fulfill the campaign promise he made to
voters. Paul tells people of faith to do their best. He said, “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a
workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of
truth” (2 Tim 2:15 NIV).
