A couple
weeks ago I went shopping for some new tops and it dawned on me that from a clothing-style
perspective, I no longer know who I am. The styles I once wore no longer fit
who I am today. In my teens I felt something similar after I accepted Jesus as
my personal Savior, made the good confession and was baptized. As a born-again Christian,
I was no longer who I once was. Paul said, “So from now on we regard no one
from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do
so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a
new creation; the old has gone, the new has come” (2 Cor 5:16-17 NIV)!
