Complete Package

We have an interesting prospect for a permanent location for the church and there will be a congregational vote on the property next Sunday. The building, a former restaurant/lounge, is a bank foreclosure. As you can imagine, we’ll need to do a little remodeling and a lot of cleaning. What you may find hard to imagine however, is that it is a fully functioning facility. There are refrigerators, coffee pots, dishes and all the cooking utensils we’ll ever need. The sound system is a 32 channel mixer board with microphones and a mounted video projector and screen. Of course we all know Jesus said, “You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.” Now I’m trying to figure out who would’ve thought to pray for all those matching salt and pepper shakers. (John 14:14 NIV)

Gail;

-----What I find really cute about this whole situation is that the facility your church is considering is equipped to especially serve a contemporary church. Yet, of the two churches born from the XYZ Church’s partisan ashes, the avowedly contemporary one seriously considered this facility before being lured by the Lord to another, simply amazing property, and now, your traditional church may well wind up with this great, contemporary building. Meanwhile, XYZ Church, after blowing apart from its purposeful drive into the 21st century, still lingers in its same old facility while probably still clutching the 300K it had stashed up for a new place. But all the truth be told, I not only hear their attendance is good, but I have heard many testify to the spiritual blessings they receive there. And that is what it is all about. God truly is manifesting His wisdom through the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places (Eph 3:10).

Love you all,
