Be Still

Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalm 46:10 NIV) MERRY CHRISTMAS

Gail;

-----God’s Christmas gift brought man three things. It brought us God’s participation in the human condition. Through Jesus we are able to see God function as one of us amidst all of the squalor and inadequacies we have made of the life He created. We have more than an example of humility in His emptying His godhood to become man, we have an example of how a perfect man acts in imperfect situations. We have the pattern of righteousness. Second, it brought us God’s participation in the physical death we must endure. It is appointed to man once to die. Jesus was a man, and His appointment with death was humbly kept. Through Him, God has gone with us in life as well as life’s most humbling and scary event, demonstrating His benevolent ambitions toward us. We have peace. Third, since His death was not because He participated in sin like we do, but rather, because He participated in our sins, becoming them while not having performed them, death could not hold Him. He took hold of it. Now holding death, He holds who death holds, and He determines what death does with them. He has determined death will give up to eternal life those who trust Him. We have joy.
-----We received at Christmas access to the Kingdom of Heaven, righteousness, peace, and joy.

Love,
Steve Corey
