Face to Face

There are numerous videos on social media showing dogs being reunited with their masters. Some of the dogs have been separated from their owners for months and years and they are beside themselves with joy as they try to wrap themselves around their rightful owner. They lick, bark, jump and run around in circles with a seemingly insatiable need to give and receive affection. We all have our own idea of what it will be like when we first see Jesus face to face, but there is no doubt in my mind that some of us will act in a similar way when we are reunited with the Master. Paul said, “Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known” (1 Cor 13:12 NIV).
