My friend Gary
has had multiple health issues and he recently showed up wearing a huge plaster
splint because he broke his hand and his elbow. When asked if there was
anything that wasn’t broken his daughter quipped, “His spirit.” Proverbs says, “A
cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones” (Proverbs
17:22 NIV).
